1912 Films is a production company established in 2019 by Cody A. Barnes. After graduating from Western Carolina University with a B.F.A. in Motion Picture and Television Production, Cody began working as a freelance video editor and digital imaging technician for projects in and around the Charlotte and later DFW area. Notable work and experience came through independent films with Slash Gang Productions and New Revolutions Studios. With additional experience from ABC affiliate WSOC-TV and after maintaining 35mm prints and digital media for theatrical releases, Cody wanted to explore new and exciting projects through 1912 Films.

With 1912 Films, Cody operates professional cameras ranging from the Panasonic GH5 to the RED Komodo in single and multi-camera set-ups. He also edits and produces videos of diverse subjects including weddings and promotional material. Cody is a professionally licensed drone pilot through the FAA providing clients with aerial footage and completed videos for marketing and social media purposes. As a filmmaker and videographer, Cody loves shooting and editing content of different genres as each project is a new creative journey.
